#BigArtsGive... support the arts at a local and national level
What do over 100 arts and cultural charities in the UK have in common? They’ve all been selected to take part in a new challenge fund which will help stimulate philanthropy for arts and culture.
Organisations from across the UK are taking part and together aim to raise, at least, £3 million (plus Gift Aid) for these charities by Christmas.
By taking part in the challenge fund, the participants will develop relationships with new givers and leverage new funding: £1 from an online donor is matched pound for pound.
We are pleased to have developed the fund so that every £1 invested by Arts & Business will help generate at least £8 of new cultural wealth through the #BigArtsGive.
So...
• 10am on 6 December 2010 is when the #BigArtsGive goes live for one week until the 10 December
• It’s on these days that we’d love you to donate as your donation will have the potential to double in value thanks to the challenge fund and, in addition, may also be eligible for Gift Aid
• Please note that the #BigArtsGive. will be paused each day of the week 6-10 December to ensure that the Sector Challenge Fund does not run out on the first day
• The Challenge will be paused each day irrespective of whether a charities donations are being doubled by their pledges or the charity matching fund at that time
• Participating charities will have a timer visible in their account area indicating how long is left each day
