Joanne Stuart receives an OBE in New Year's Honours list

Commenting on Joanne Stuart’s OBE, Arts & Business Northern Ireland Chief Executive Mary Trainor-Nagele said:

“I am so genuinely thrilled for Joanne, she truly deserves this. Anyone who has worked with her will know of her dedication, passion and selfless enthusiasm for all the charities and businesses she supports. In terms of NI business, cultural and creative industries, education and young enterprise she has made an outstanding contribution and it is fitting that it has been acknowledged in this way. As Arts & Business Northern Ireland enters its 25th year we are proud to have Joanne as our Chair and look forward to working with her to ensure new partnerships between commerce and culture continue to flourish into the next 25 years.”

Arts & Business Northern Ireland announced today it is delighted that its new Chair Joanne Stuart received an OBE in the Queen’s New Year’s Honours list. Joanne, who until May last year was Chair of the Institute of Directors in NI, took up her role as Chair of Arts & Business Northern Ireland in November 2011.

Arts & Business Northern Ireland, which celebrates its 25th anniversary in 2012, resolutely advocates the arts to business, igniting and inspiring partnerships which demonstrate the advantages of investing in the arts, whether through time, services or cash.
