Lever Prize 2011... shortlist announced

Hook

“The four shortlisted entries all show fantastic potential to spark unique partnerships with the NWBLT’s member companies. At Arts & Business we are delighted to be involved with the NWBLT’s Lever Prize which is so closely aligned to our aim to bring corporate finance and individual philanthropists into the arts.  £77m of business investment in the arts is received outside of London. At a time when the arts are facing deep public sector funding cuts, the Lever Prize is an inspiring example of how businesses can support the vibrant cultural landscape of the North West."
Brenda Parkerson, Regional Director, Arts & Business North

“The calibre of the entries for the 2011 Lever Prize has been of an exceptionally high standard.  The four shortlisted organisations have been invited to present to a panel of judges comprising members of the NWBLT and representatives from Arts & Business North along with a past winner of the Lever.  The mission of the Lever Prize is to highlight the North West as being a bright, contemporary place for art and culture to develop and we believe that that can be achieved best through collaboration with business.”
Geoffrey Piper, Chief Executive of NWBLT

Four of the North West’s most outstanding arts organisations have been shortlisted for the prestigious Lever Prize 2011, which provides the winner with £10,000 cash and support from the North West’s most influential business leaders.
