Entries for the 2010 ESA European Sponsorship Awards have opened, offering sponsorship professionals across Europe the ideal platform to showcase outstanding campaigns, be they national or multi-national in their reach.
The Awards, organised by the European Sponsorship Association (ESA), are the only pan-European sponsorship awards celebrating excellence across all sectors - sport, culture, entertainment, media and corporate social responsibility.
Sponsors, rights holders and agencies are all invited to enter their most successful campaigns, in a bid to be judged the best in Europe.
In addition, two new categories relating to smaller sponsorship campaigns have been added for 2010. Karen Earl added that many of the previous entries featured high-profile campaigns by well-known brands with large budgets and ESA wanted to encourage successful campaigns orchestrated on lower budgets to have an opportunity also to be recognised for excellence.
The new awards relating to smaller budgets are: Business to Consumer, (budget under €100,000) and Business to Community (budget under €50,000).
Award entries will be judged by an independent panel of European industry experts, and winners will be announced at the Awards Ceremony in Amsterdam on Wednesday 24th November, as part of ESA’s premium two-day annual conference, Future Sponsorship.
Entries close on 20th September and entries submitted by 6th September will benefit from a special early-bird discount.
The 2009 ESA Awards attracted a host of entries from 10 European countries with global brands DHL, Heineken, Nicotinell, PUMA, and Wrigley’s all being crowned winners.
