Arts & Business CashBack for Communities Evaluation & Summary Evaluation

The Scottish Government’s CashBack for Communities programme was designed to return money seized from people convicted of serious criminal offences to local communities in the form of grants to support activities for young people aged 10 – 19.

The programme was intended to make a visible difference at a local level, by ensuring that young people have positive, imaginative projects that engage them. Launched in 2007, Arts & Business Scotland ran its Arts CashBack for Communities Grants Programme for two years during which time it reached over 6000 excluded young people.

The full report, that assesses the overall impact of the programme and showcases all ten funded projects, can be downloaded below.

Fresh Start, Re:Gain, Growing Teachers and Sharing Stories are the titles of four projects reviewed in a summary document  published in January 2011 with in kind sponsorship from Henzteeth, Freight Design and William Anderson and can also be downloaded below.
