Sarah Walker, (23) of GE Energy, who recently joined the board of The Princes Foundation for Children and the Arts, spoke at the reception about her involvement with this year’s programme:
“As young professionals and our employers, we have much to gain from the arts and business programme.  For the young professionals - our seats on boards will connect us with and engage us in the arts community so that we, as adults and professionals, may never lose our inner artist.

We will be exposed from an executive level to strategic planning and problem solving. We will train as spokesmen and women and in doing so strengthen our voices and professional confidence. We will learn financial management, fundraising skills and creativity from the best run non profits in the UK. And bring those learnings- our leadership and our new skills - back to our companies and careers”
